About Us

The theatre production "Hope in the House," which features choirs, acting, mime, and dance groups, is centred on delivering a message of hope to every house and family across the world. It is a community project involving children and adults from Bloemfontein and other areas.

Hope in the house is produced in partnership with PACOFS in 2023 and will be performed at the Sand Du Plessis theatre in Bloemfontein South Africa.

Theme and Story

The involvement of Ukraine, Russia, and other nations, now drawn into war, is one of the main challenges being discussed by four international delegates of the NNOP (New Nations of Peace), an organisation like the UNSC (United Nations Security Council). They have been summoned to evaluate how to establish hope in the nations, as many people are shaken by the situation and struggle to see a future.

The message of hope and gratitude is seen against the backdrop of a family story. This family is spread out across various parts of the globe, including Russia, Ukraine, England, and South Africa. Ultimately a statement of respect, grace, tolerance and forgiveness is conveyed through their journey as a family on stage.

OUR STATEMENT

We believe that both the young and the old must declare that there can be Hope in the House of every family, regardless of their circumstances, even in situations where families, houses, businesses, and infrastructure have been displaced or destroyed. Additionally, we believe that the message of hope must be grounded in wisdom, perspective, and truth that go beyond the mere facts of our challenges, fears, anxieties, hopelessness and need for justice through revenge.

May the next generation go beyond all of this and learn how to build a life with Hope, both in the present and in the future.

Countless children and youth, numbering in the thousands or even millions, are also being robbed of the chance to receive education, which is a key and gift for their future. We want to communicate this message creatively, through the arts, to children, young adults, and families to appreciate the opportunities provided to us through education, and not take them for granted.
